UNMISS CALLS ON SOUTH SUDANESE TO LEARN

UNMISS, United Nations Mission in South Sudan, Deputy Chief, has called on all South Sudanese to go to school in order to read and write.

Tobi Lanza said the conference should have a target in order to let all people in South Sudan read and write within the next five years.

Mr Lanza revealed that UNMISS is committed to supporting South Sudan through the donor community in order to allow everybody in South Sudan to read and write within the next five years.

Mr Lanza was speaking at a national literacy conference organized by the Ministry of General Education in partnership with government of Itally and UNESCO, United Nations Education, Science and Cultural Organization in Juba on Thursday.
