OVER 17,000 CHILDREN RECEIVE FOOD IN NUBA MOUNTAINS

More than 17,000 malnourished children have received nutrition food material in Nuba Mountains.

The SPLM-N Regional Health Director for malnutrition and Child Care, in Save the Children-Sweden, Edward Abdallah Kocho Kartushi, said Samaritan Purse organization had provided groundnut paste to 17,290 children, Voice of Peace Radio reported.

He added that the aim of this food was to help the malnourished children regain their health.

Mr. Kocho calls upon the community in the area to report the cases of the malnutrition of children so that the international organizations may come in to assist to reduce the mortality rate.

Save the Children in Nuba Mountains has been providing food for the malnourished for eight years now.
