A Member of Parliament representing Kajo Keji County at the National Legislative Assembly blasted at the state of the Juba-Kako Keji highway saying her constituency has been “officially” cut off from the rest of the country since the road is no longer passable.
Independent MP Mary Kiden Kimbo said all the bridges and culverts along the Juba-Kajo Keji road were washed away by heavy rains. She said the deputy minister apologized for the state of the road but apologies did not build much needed bridges.
Ms Kiden questioned the speaker how the seven MPs representing Kajo Keki were able to visit their constituents without money and no road.
The Kajo Keji representative said the work done on the road was unprofessional
She added that it was a technical mistake to remove the Juba-Kajo Keji road from the grid of national roads classifying it as trunk road.
