IOM, the International Organization of Migration, said it has suspended the movement of returnees from Renk after a convoy of barges left for Juba with 2,700 persons on board.

The convoy has three passenger and five luggage barges.

Over 16,000 returnees remain stranded in Renk but IOM ran out of funds to transport them to Juba.

Another IOM convoy of 71 trucks and buses left Juba for Aweil in Northern Bar El Ghazal carrying 185 families and their belongings.
