The national football association is seeking sponsors to secure the 150,000 Pounds budgeted to organize the National Cup’s semi final and final games.
Nasir-Juba, Merikh-Aweil, Merikh-Renk and Akwach United-Rumbek qualified for National Football Cup semi finals to be played in Juba, Bakhita Radio reported.
South Sudan Football Association Vice President Yohanis Musa Pouk told the press in Juba on Thursday that the four teams would play semi finals on September 8 and 9 and the final on September 12 if sponsors came with the cash.
He said his office would follow up the issue with the President’s Office because the tournament is played under its supervision.
Mr Musa explained that semi finals and finals would cost nearly 150,000 pounds, including the prize for the winner.
The winner should represent South Sudan in the next African Confederation Cup.
