The third popular mission organized by the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba has ended with a call to believers to follow Jesus Christ.
Charismatic preacher Anthony Mussaala from Uganda led in an open air prayer at St. Theresa’s Cathedral-Kator from Wednesday to Sunday, last week.Fr Mussaala explained that priests and sisters abandoned married life in order to follow Jesus Christ.
He said to follow Jesus one has to leave behind some friends and avoid going to some places.
Fr Mussaala added that to follow Jesus is to imitate him.
He affirmed that a good student imitates his master.
The third popular mission went on for five days since Wednesday to Sunday last week.
On Saturday; Fr Mussaala preached to about 60 religious and diocesan priests, sisters and brothers.
He suggested the launch of the Charismatic Renewal in South Sudan could be a way to bring new evangelization to South Sudan.
