Yei River County Resource Mobilization Committee said Friday morning that it has already collected 94 thousand South Sudanese pounds through the demarcation of the plots in Yei.
Thomas Wani Lo Badiya, who chairs the Committee, said he shared the information because people were complaining that the money collected last year was eaten, Radio Easter reported.Mr Lo told the people complaining that plot demarcation was stopped that it was delayed in farming areas until groundnuts and maze crops were picked.
Mr Lo informed that the demarcation process resumes towards the end of this year after the food crops were harvested.
He asked residents to be patient.
Mr Lo urged chiefs, sub-chiefs and headmen to report their contributions for the development of the county.
He added that the Government contributed 100 barrels of fuel for the demarcation process and Equity and KCB banks offered five barrels each.
