A large crowd turned up yesterday to welcome the President of the Republic on his visit to Eastern Equatoria to commemorate Veterans Day.
Hundreds of people lined up since early morning between Torit’s checkpoint and Freedom Square to welcome Salva Kiir Mayardit who arrived at around midday, Radio Emmanuel reported.President Kiir presides over the Veterans Day Celebration of in Torit today.
He is expected the launch a multimillion-pound building to house the state secretariat and some ministries.
