The Catholic Archbishop of Juba has called on the people of God to think and pray about South Sudan after one year of independence.
Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro told the crowd that gathered for the first day of the popular mission that the people of South Sudan should review their lives and the way forward after one year of independence, Bakhita Radio reported.He said the archdiocese organized the popular mission for the third time to allow the faithful to pray and think about their needs and the needs of the country.
Archbishop Lukudu explained that the past was important to determine the future.
He was speaking yesterday at St. Theresa’s Cathedral during the conclusion of the first day of the crusade by charismatic preacher Fr Anthony Mussaala from Uganda.
The popular mission runs until Sunday at St. Theresa’s Cathedral ground in Kator.
Today Fr Mussaala met with the Church personnel.
Tomorrow morning, he presides over a procession through the streets of Juba to witness the faith.
