Heavy rains are not allowing aid to reach people displaced by the border war in Raja County, Western Bahr El Ghazal, and aid agencies are trying to fly much needed relief into the area.

Some 3,500 people are displaced in Firka from Seri-malaga in Raja County, the UN said.

Humanitarian vehicles carrying emergency aid got stuck on the road as due to heavy rainfall.

They were forced to turn back with the aid they were carrying.

Two relief organizations operating in the area are looking into the possibility of airlifting the emergency items to the communities in need.

UN agencies are still prevented from entering the area due to insecurity issues.
