About 150 Kindergarten children from Mama Jejuku School Thursday visited various important places in Wau including the local Catholic radio station.
The visit was part of the school programme meant to introduce the kids to the environment and learn things practically.Headmistress Achayo Helen told Voice of Hope it was important for children to know how the radio station works.
She added that the school administration introduced practical learning to children so that as they grow up they may be acquainted to the importance of various institutions and how they function.
Ms Helen said children saw wild animals, discovered how a radio station works and other important things during the day’s outing.
She explained that if children know things when they are young they will valorise them when they grow up.
The headmistress asked other private schools to organize picnics and learning tours for children to discover their surroundings and learn new things.
Mama Jejuku School started in 2007 and currently has three classes of different levels.
