Yei River County is preparing the Independence Day celebration which is due in two weeks time.
The Organizing Committee met yesterday to present the budget and prepare resources mobilization in the county, Easter Radio reported.Vice chairperson John Benson said it was a collective responsibility of every citizen in the county to contribute towards the success of the celebration.
Mr Benson added that there are six committees formed to facilitate and monitor the smooth running of Independence Day celebrations.
The occasion will be funded by the national and state governments as well as the county authorities with support from NGOs, Churches and communities at all levels.
This was the second preparatory meeting held at Yei River County Legislative Council hall to prepare Independence Day.
