South Sudan has declared its commitment to ratify all international environmental treaties.

National Environment Minister Alfred Lodu Gore said South Sudan should ratify all international environmental treaties in order to benefit from them in various ways.

Mr Lodu said his ministry has produced an environmental policy frame work which was already approved by the Council of Ministers.

He said the ministry is preparing the Environment Management and Protection Bill with the assistance of legal experts for the Ministry to be able to protect and manage South Sudan’s environment.

The Bill should be presented to the Council of Ministers within one month.

Mr Lodu made these statements Tuesday at Juba International Airport on his return from Brazil.
