The Commissioner of Yei River County has urged the churches to open up agricultural land to promote food production in the country.
Juma David Augustine said farmland can be used to generate money to support church activities, Radio Emmanuel reported.He added that the priests should use their knowledge to work and earn money.
Mr Juba asked Christians to support the priests who chose to preach the Word of God rather than working.
Yei River County Commissioner made these statements on Sunday at St. Joseph-Lutaya parish after the first mass of Fr Pascal Mude Emmanuel.
