The Israeli authorities are arresting and keeping South Sudanese underage nationals behind bars.
The alarm was sounded by a group of South Sudanese returnees that arrived today in Juba from Israel.Kwel Atem told CRN that some 70 South Sudanese are in Israel’s prisons.
He said South Sudanese in Israel are being forced to return home.
Mr Atem said South Sudanese face danger in Israel.
He added that South Sudanese women, young boys and children are kept in prison in Israel.
Agweng Deng Acuil was released from prison on June 18 and arrived today in Juba.
He said South Sudanese children are kept in Israeli prisons.
Mr Deng called on the President of South Sudan to press the prime minister of Israel to release all detained South Sudanese children.
He said repatriation of South Sudanese is not free.
Today a second batch of South Sudanese returned from Israel.
