Gumbo Stars (Nujum Gumbo), the official team of Saint Vincent De Paul Parish, were the big winners of Don Bosco Youth Football Tournament that concluded Sunday.
The competition was organized by the Salesians of Don Bosco and lasted for four weeks.Cyril Odia, Saint Vincent Parish youth chaplain, told Bakhita Radio over the phone that the eight-team knock out tournament was a success.
He said the competition was to inform the youth against HIV AIDS, malaria, and typhoid among other ills.
Fr Odia said the Gumbo Stars won the trophy after beating Peace Stars seven to six in a penalty shoot out.
Real Madrid came third.
