A second batch of 150 South Sudanese returned to Juba today from Israel.
The Chairman of the South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission, Peter Lam Buoth, said most returnees will directly join their relatives.He added that those without relatives will be put in a temporary place until they are moved to their places of origin.
Mr Lam appreciated the Israeli government for supporting the return process.
He said the national Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and his Commission will ensure that the returnees are well integrated into their communities.
Deputy Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Sabina Dario Lokolong said some South Sudanese detained in Israel will be release and return home.
She added that those detained were not involved in criminal activities in Israel but were caught without legal papers and residents permits.
Ms Dario said the Government of South Sudan has agreed with its Israeli counterpart for some 200 South Sudanese detained to be released.
390 of 700 South Sudanese living in Israel have returned home in two flights.
