The Catholic bishop of Yei has urged the Catholics of Lainya to take care of two priests sent to open a parish in the county.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe Lodu said the two Divine Word missionaries left their countries to work in Lainya.He added that they should be opening Lainya parish soon.
Bishop Lodu urged Catholics to renew their faith.
He said Saturday’s ordination of Fr Pascal Mude Emmanuel should start a renewal of faith in the diocese of Yei.
The bishop appealed to the people to pray.
He said it is through prayers that Catholic youths can take on the vocation priesthood and sisterhood.
Bishop Lodu announced that seminarian Alex Moro will be instituted to ministry of reader Sunday in Tore.
He appealed to the Catholic community to support their priests and work together with them to keep them motivated.
The Bishop of Yei made these remarks during the first mass of the newly ordained priest Fr Mude at St. Joseph-Lutaya.
