Sudan’s rebel forces destroyed energy supplies in Blue Nile.

SPLM-North spokesperson Arnu Ngattulu said in an e-mail the Sudan Revolutionary Front took control of North of Blue Nile and destroyed energy cables in Bau, a locality 30 kilometres from Damazin.

He added that this happened on Saturday, after more than 24 hours of fighting between SPLA-North and SAF, Sudan Armed Forces.

Mr Ngattulu said the Front captured two army vehicles, one big truck, weapons and ammunitions.

He added that SPLA-North troops took control over Angasina Mountains, a strategic SAF stronghold.

He said four Sudanese troops were killed in combat.
