Central Equatoria Police wants to recruit more officers in a bid to curb rampant insecurity in the State.

Central Equatoria Police Deputy Commissioner, Brigadier Samuel Jaafar Lodu, told CRN that the force will recruit more officers to be deployed to counties and payams.

He said the whole Central Equatoria State has 3,372 officers.

Brigadier Lodu called on citizens to report crimes committed in their area to the nearest police stations in order for the authorities to arrest criminals.

Last week, President Salva Kiir Mayardit, accused some police elements to be involved in organized crime in Juba.
