Youth from the Bari community have denied that Mangalla Payam falls under the administration of Terekeka County.

This comes after the daily Al Masir (Destiny) published an interview with the Commissioner of Terekeka County, Clement Maring.

Mr Maring stated that his County has ten payams, including Mangalla.

Speaking on behalf of the Bari youth, Wani Lukaku told Bakhita Radio that he disagrees with Terekeka Commissioner’s statement to Al Masir news paper, annexing Mangalla payam to Terekeka County.

Mr Wani said the Bari youth condemns in the strongest possible terms such a statement that incites tribal conflict.

He said there is no State order bringing Mangalla Payam under Terekeka County.

Mr Wani said the Bari youth are urging Mr Maring to apologize for such unilateral statement.

He asked politicians to abstain from instigating community against community over payam boundaries.

He explained that Mangalla payam belongs to Juba County since South Sudan was divided into ten states.

During the 2010 general elections Mangalla payam residents voted for Juba County.
