The Catholic diocese of Tombura-Yambio will host an inter-parishes sports tournament in preparation for the Centenary of Faith celebration in December 2012.
The competition involves all the 16 parishes in the diocese, starting next Saturday.
Kumboyo Phillip told Anisa FM that the organizers trained all the coaches and referees from the 16 parishes and sent them back to train their players.
The competition inter-parishes includes football and athletics such as walking, marathon and bicycle races.
Mr Kumboyo explained that the tournament is organised by the diocese in collaboration with the HIV AIDS department to bring all the youths together through sports and talk to them about the killer disease and its prevention.
