Eastern Equatoria state health minister tasked partners in provision of health services to employ qualified personnel and build the capacity of South Sudan national health care.

Margaret Itto made the appeal yesterday during the inauguration of Marie Stopes Centre in Torit, Radio Emmanuel reported.

The minister said Eastern Equatoria state faces critical shortage of skilled personnel in the health sector.

Dr Itto asked governments, donors, non-governmental and faith based organizations to scale up efforts to improve provision of health services as peace now prevails in the country.

The minister appreciated the intervention of Marie Stopes to reduce maternal and infant mortality.
