Priests from the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio concluded a workshop on the Social Teaching of the Catholic Church to boost the development of holistic services they render to the people.
Cathy Arata, one of the facilitators, disclosed to Anisa FM that Solidarity with South Sudan is conducting the workshop in many dioceses of South Sudan.Sr Cathy added that during the workshop the participants discussed good governance, development and the current social work of the Catholic Church.
Fr Phillip Bingo, the pastoral coordinator of South Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference, said without an effective social teaching, Church personnel and the upcoming generation will be led to misconception of the Word of God due to globalization.
The three-day training concluded on Thursday.
