The community showed the land to Bishop Johnson Akio Mutek of Torit on Sunday during his visit to the area.Bishop Akio told Radio Emmanuel that the community offered the land after he talked to them about the need to build a chapel and a place for priests to stay whenever they come from Isoke to visit the community.
Chahari is a quasi parish that will develop into a full parish with time.
Bishop Akio said the Logiri community are isolated without much presence of the Church and the Government.
He advised the Logiri community to stop killings and attacks along the roads.
He warned that the Logiri and the Buya will continue to be isolated and underdeveloped if they do not desist from attacking and killing innocent people.
