Lakes State Governor on Saturday appointed a new Deputy Governor two months after he signed the State Transitional Constitution and took the oath of office.
Chol Tong Mayay relieved Daniel Ayual Makoi from the post of deputy governor and education minister and appointed Mabor Achol Kuer to deputy governor, Good News Radio reported.The reshuffle in Lakes State government has been expected since Engineer Tong signed the Transitional Constitution of Lakes State and was sworn in on February 25.
The exchange of Mr Ayual for Mr Achol was the first major change Engineer Tong made since he took the oath of office just about two months ago.
The new state government should be announced soon now that the new deputy governor was appointed.
