UDF, the United Democratic Front, is doing a three-day workshop on its Constitution in order to be relevant and meet the Transitional Constitution of South Sudan.
Seventy five UDF delegates from all over the country are taking part in the event that is supported by IRI, the International Republican Institute.UDF chairperson Phillip Yona Jambe told Bakhita Radio that the workshop will review the party’s Constitution to make it in line with the new situation in the country.
Mr Yona condemned the declarations of President Omar Al Bashir threatening to change the government of South Sudan.
He said Mr Al Bashir was threatening to have South Sudan under his control again.
The UDF leader urged the party to cooperate with the government and support the army in order to fulfil the needs of the nation especially at this crucial moment.
Mr Yona said the people of South Sudan need to forget their small differences and work hard for the good of the nation.
