The new Deputy Governor of Upper Nile State took the oath of office yesterday in Malakal.

John Ibo Muntu was sworn in as the new deputy Governor of Upper Nile State, Voice of Love reported.

He replaces Andrea Maya, who was relieved from his post.

Governor Simon Kun Puoch chaired the oath ceremony.

During the occasion he remarked that in this difficult moment for South Sudan there is the need to provide cohesive leadership, and to be responsible for the State in terms of security, services and social life.
