The President of the Republic has ordered today that 14 Sudanese prisoners of war brought to Juba should be released.

Army spokesperson Philip Aguer Panyang told CRN over the phone that Salva Kiir Mayardit ordered the release of the prisoners of war.

He added that NGOs are coordinating the handover of prisoners to their families.

Colonel Aguer said the situation at the borders was quiet today.

He added that yesterday Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) tried to open a new front in Upper Nile state but the SPLA repulse the attack.

Colonel Aguer said SAF is bombing oil installations in Higlig.

He added that bombs from MIG 29 and Antonov planes set on fire one oil well.
