The Catholic Archbishop of Juba issued an Easter Message yesterday calling South Sudan and Sudan to have the courage to search for peace and desist from the easy road of war.
Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro wote he wanted to assure to everybody that the Easter message of the Church and of the bishops of South Sudan is that of peace and not of war, development and not of destruction.The message says the Catholic episcopate is disturbed by the events of war-mongering, especially at the northern borders of South Sudan.
Archbishop Lukudu called on both governments and the citizens of South Sudan and Sudan to maintain the strong spirit of reconciliation, justice and peace, resuming talks to reach peace.
The head of the Catholic Bishops is South Sudan called upon all friends of the new country to continue to support the struggle of peaceful negotiations for the two countries.
