WESTERN BAHR EL GHAZAL PREPARES TO WELCOME RETURNEES FROM KHARTOUM

Western Bahr el Ghazal government is ready to receive five trains scheduled to bring returnees from Khartoum and promised to give education to their children.

The acting governor and minister of legal affairs, John Peter, explained that concrete preparations are in process to ensure that the returnees are incorporated in the society and are helped to restart life, Radio Voice of Hope reported.

He said that the children who are returning from Khartoum with their parents should be enrolled in the already existing schools in the state.

Mr Peter acknowledged the challenges of language but said that every effort will be made to help them have a smooth learning.

He explained that the children will get the first instructions in Arabic,

English courses will be offered to help them catch up.

The Acting Governor pointed out that education in the country faces many challenges but the state is ready to include those who will come from Khartoum.

He explained that there are schools constructed through, Constituency Development Fund but lack furniture and teaching professionals.
