A member of National Assembly who returned from Abyei recently said yesterday that the town was absolutely empty except for some armed Misseriya cattle keepers.
Arop Madut Arop told journalists yesterday in Juba that Abyei looked like a ghost city.He added citizens starting to return to areas like Agok, but the main town was almost deserted.
Mr Madut said United Nation Interim Force Security for Abyei is in full control of the area.
He added that the displaced lack of food and medicines.
