Radio stations empower people by spreading the right information and helping listener to improve their skills.
SPLM-North official Abdurahaman Anuwa told people of Nuba Mountains to listen to radio stations because they are key to get essential information.He said radio plays a significant role in development and bringing changes to the nation as well as to solve the problems of the people.
Mr Anuwa asked the people to listening to the news and programs over the radio to improve skills and knowledge.
He said that through listening to the programs communities can learn how to protect themselves in a good health, to have good living standard, security and to be intellectuals.
Mr Anuwa urges all the authorities in different place of Nuba Mountains to have a strong cooperation with the media so that it will be easier for their problems to be solved.
The official made these statements yesterday in the context of the First World Radio Day, organized by UNESCO, the UN cultural agency.
