The Catholic Bishop of Yei has urged Christians to dedicate time to God and pray for deliverance from many troubles and temptations.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe said Christians should also remember St Josephine Bakhita who forgave all those who did wrong to her, Radio Easter reported. The Bishop added that the Church is the body of believers and not the building.
Bishop Lodu complained that many Christians do not attend church services but aim at personal business which will not please God.
He remarked that the people of South Sudan came out of a very long war for freedom and they should not turn against each other through aggression but maintain the peace and consider everyone important regardless of ethnic origins.
Bishop Lodu made these remarks yesterday during his homily at St Bakhita chapel in Nyongwe.
