The University of Juba does not have enough space to accommodate its students and the food is not enough.

Lino Gwani, Dean of Students at the University of Juba, told CRN that the institution is struggling with space for accommodation as many students are coming from as far away as Morobo and do not have relatives to stay with in Juba.

He appreciated the students’ union to call on governors to support the University with accommodation facilities.

The dean of Students said the Governor of Unity State hired a house that can accommodate more than 350 students.

Mr. Lino said he hoped that other governors would support the university by financing accommodation space for students.

He said Juba needs more houses for rent, including tukuls, that students can hire and share.

Mr Lino said the dining hall at the campus was too small.

He added that the food was not enough and of poor quality.

He said students get two meals a day and the diet is not balanced.

Mr Lino explained that the University administration is doing its best to solve these problems.

He appealed to the public to built houses to be used as dormitories that students can rent and share at affordable prices.
