Students from English and Arabic patterns attending the second year of Economy at Bahr el Ghazal University were involved in a big fight at the lecture room because one lecturer did not know Arabic.
The Arabic speaking students objected when the lecturer started teaching in English but he said he did not speak Arabic and went on with his class in English, Radio Don Bosco reported.The Arabic pattern students left the class but returned five minutes later disrupting the lesson.
They refused to leave the premises and the fight started.
Two students were admitted to Wau Hospital.
Yesterday, first year Arabic speaking students held a meeting to form a committee to discuss the problem of lectures in English with the university administration.
