A military resident of Lomuku area of Yei stabbed his wife to death after an argument in the early hours of Thursday.
Yei River County Crime Officer Martin Izzy told Radio Easter over the telephone that Chol Ajang had a misunderstanding with his 56 year-old wife Jane Yabang Elisa.They seemed to be both drunk.
Mr Ajang, who is a military, went into hiding after he stabbed his wife to death.
Mr Izzy said a case was filed against the suspect.
The security organs are hunting for him to make sure he is brought before the court to justify his action.
Mr Izzy urged husbands and wives to understand why they establish families, and respect and care for their children.
He appealed to the citizens to resolve their differences peacefully and desist from unlawful acts of murder or take the law into their hands.
