RADIO ANISA STARTS REGULAR BRODCASTING IN YAMBIO

The Radio station of Tombura-Yambio Catholic diocese will be officially inaugurated today, starting its regular broadcasting after over four months of testing.

Ignatius Mborihenga, the director of Radio Anisa, told CRN News via e-mail that the station will be officially opened and blessed at 5 PM in Yambio.

Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro of Tombura-Yambio will bless the radio station and a delegation from Western Equatoria Government headed by deputy governor Sapana Abui will attend the ceremony that marks the official start of Radio Anisa’s regular broadcasting.

Fr. Mborihenga said Radio Anisa is prepared and strategized to help the population of Western Equatoria State towards peace, unity and development.

Radio Anisa started its testing period on August 29 and bordcasts eight hours per day, in the morning and evening.

The FM station is part of the Catholic Radio Network together with another eight radios across South Sudan and in Nuba Mountains, Sudan.
