Morobo County Executive Director and Controller of Accounts Services were suspended one week ago following a vote of no confidence by the County Council.
Morobo County Commissioner Ofeni Ngota announced the suspensions during a meeting with the county’s heads of department, Radio Easter reported.He explained that the County Legislative Council decided to suspend the officials by casting a vote of no confidence against the County Executive Director and the County Controller of Accounts.
Mr. Ngota said the respective Ministry was requested to transfer the suspended officials out of the County and nominate replacements to avoid administrative tensions in the offices.
The speaker of the County Legislative Council, James Kenyi Elia, said the Councillors unanimously passed a vote of no confidence on the two officials and demanded their removal from office.
