The National Legislative Assembly has passed today a number of resolutions condemning Sudan’s incursion in Upper Nile and Unity states and urging the Interior Minister to improve security in Juba and other major towns across the country.

One of the resolutions stated that the national and state security organs should work together, come up with a comprehensive security strategy and draft arms control laws.

The resolution also recommends that no constitutional post holder should use military bodyguards except the President and defence minister.

The resolution added that the security of other constitutional post holder should be done by the South Sudan Police Service.
