The National Legislative Assembly has approved today the appointment of Steven Wondu as National Auditor General.
President Salva Kiir Mayardit reappointed Mr. Wondu as Auditor General over one month ago but the Transitional Constitution demands that the holder be approved by a two-third majority vote in the National Legislative Assembly.It seems the House approval did not meet the two-thirds requirement, because there were too many empty seats.
The parliament also approved the appointment of the Deputy Chief Justice.
