The Catholic Bishop of Yei urged believers to prepare spiritually as the commemoration of Jesus’ birth approches.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe said spiritual preparation is very important because Christmas should bring unity and love among the people, Radio Easter reported.He said God saw the suffering of the world and its challenges and he sent his Son Jesus Christ to liberate the people from their miseries.
Bishop Lodu added that families should celebrate Christmas with peace and clam in their hearts, without causing problems to one another.
He appealed to Christians to allow God to guide South Sudan through their prayers so that the country can prosper.
Bishop Lodu appreciated the people of Yei for their immense support during the Silver Jubilee he celebrated at the end of November.
The Bishop made these remarks yesterday during Sunday Mass at Lutaya Parish.
