Otogo Payam in Yei County of Central Equatoria state has been hit by an outbreak of chicken pox.
The Yei County health Surveillance officer Micheal Lugala told Radio Easter that in Otogo Payam eleven cases have been verified on December 14 2011.
Mr. Lugala said the disease is a communicable disease which spreads easily.
The County Health Director, Simon Loro, has appealed to the communities to be vigilant and report any suspect case to the health authorities.
