The governor of Eastern Equatoria State, Louis Lobong Lojore, called on the Canadian government to continue boosting the State security sector.
He affirmed that the Canadian government projects, such as provision of transport and training of police officers and building police posts, have reduced cases of insecurity in hot spots across the State.
Mr. Lobong made this appeal on December 12 2011, while meeting the Director for stabilization and reconstruction programme division and the deputy head of state, Jess Dutton, at the state secretariat in Torit town.
The governor also affirmed that offering English courses for law enforcement agents would be of paramount importance.
