Tonj South County is to improve its agriculture output next year in order to eliminate famine in the county.
Akech Tong Aleu, the commissioner of Tonj South County, told Radio Don Bosco that the region is preparing to cultivate many more food crops especially in Wanh Alel, which Ð he said Ð it is a suitable place for farming.
The commissioner added that workers will be sent soon to Wanh Alel to start the project well ahead of next year’s rains.
He urged residents to put more effort to develop other agricultural projects in the county to combat hunger and reduce the prices in the markets.
