The maintenance of the rule of law is one of the major challenges facing the Government of Lakes State.
Governor Chol Tong Mayay told the press yesterday, moments after arriving from Juba where he attended the first Governors’ Forum that the state needs additional lawyers to assist in the settlement of many pending court cases.He highlighted the importance of peace in development, saying his Government will focus on beefing up security in the State’s prisons to ensure that those who are detained do not escape.
Governor Tong said the disarmament process has been a success in Lakes State.
