NAIROBI ARCHBISHOP VISITS YAMBIO TO ORDAIN PRIESTS

The Catholic Archbishop of Nairobi arrived today in Juba in transit to Yambio where he will ordain a number of priests and a deacon and take part in the beginning of the centenary of evangelization among the Zande.

Cardinal John Njue told CRN News upon his arrival at Juba International Airport that he was invited by Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro of Tombura-Yambio to ordain five priests from his diocese and one deacon from El-Obeid.

He added that he accepted the invitation with much pleasure also because he has the opportunity to know other part of South Sudan and witness the growth of the Church in the new country.

The ordinations take place in Yambio Cathedral on Thursday, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary.

On Sunday, Tombura-Yambio diocese starts celebrating its centenary of evangelization that concludes on December 12, 2012.
