The former Governor of the Central Bank of South Sudan has urged South Sudanese authorities to set up a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to overcome historic differences.
Elijah Malok Aleng made his call on Sunday at a function organized by Greater Bahr El Ghazal elders at Nyakuron Cultural Centre.Yesterday, Mr. Malok explained the importance of a truth and reconciliation commission to Bakhita Radio.
Mr. Malok’s proposal comes in line with a recommendation from the bishops of South Sudan and Sudan who advocated for a truth and reconciliation process during their last joint meeting in Wau last October.
