The youths of Greater Bahr El Ghazal have proposed to the national government to offer a ten-percent representation to the youth at all levels of governance because they are the majority of the population.
Angok Arthur Akuien, the Chairperson of Greater Bahr El Ghazal Youth Union, said today in Juba that one of the resolutions from last month’s Strategy and Planning Conference in Aweil was a proposed ten percent share in all levels of governance for youth in the South Sudan.He said youths make 70 percent of South Sudan’s population and they should share responsibility at all levels of governance in the new republic.
Greater Bahr El Ghazal Youth Union was formed last month in Aweil, the capital of Northern Bahr El Ghazal state.
