Yei drivers have been urged to remain patient as the authorities plan to upgrade the deteriorating roads in the county as soon as they get the money.

Yei River County Deputy Director of Roads and Bridges Anthony Juma Philip told Radio Easter this morning that the roads have many potholes due to lack of marrum.

He said the county authorities will start the rehabilitation of the roads as soon as the 2012 budget is released.

Isaac Almasi, a taxi-motorbike rider, and Lomoro Augustine, a taxi-cub driver, complained that bad roads are affecting their businesses very hard.

Mr Juma appealed to the communities to cooperate the county department of Roads and Bridges when the upgrading process starts early next year.

He added that a total of seven roads in Yei Payam have been earmarked for rehabilitation.
